DAY 1

We've been here ~15 min.

 ... and already giddy

Now, we choose Scottsdale because we wanted somewhere hot, and we didn't want to leave the country (various reasons). We used points and ended up with a FREE trip - both flights and resort!

1. The Omni at night is stunning (see below)

2. Go to The Mission in Kierland for a dinner. It's so good.

Charleston

It's mid October, and it's hot in the coast - like 85 hot. Then evenings are breezy, mild, and perfect for some street walking on our 4 year anniversary.

For day 1 we've ventured to a local classic, Justine's for fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, shrimp Po boys, and topped it off with some sweet tea "Justine's table wine". Ok... We again had the best pecan pie we've ever eaten. Good work Justine

Wine Time

Loaded up on southern goodness we walked to the Grand Bohemian wine blending class. We're somewhere between a Cab, Merlot, and Petite Verdot.

Lobsta Time

I've been married to my wonderful, amazing, beautiful wife, Lauren, now for (almost) two years. To celebrate we decided to dedicate out bodies to science. The science of overindulgence of labster and hushpuppies

Let the games begin.

lunch at Portland Lobster Co.

We got in to town and knew we had to get started. The coast smells of fresh seafood (in a good way) and we wanted it now! So with a quick stop at s local bar for a few Alagash white ales and to get our bearings, we ventured to Main Lobster Co. Which is conveniently about 2 blocks from our hotel.

the Haba.

The Maine port is home to a ton of history. I'm hoping to have more on that in the coming days.

first light house in Maine

By the time we got to the light house in Cap Elizabeth the rain has sat in, but that didn't still us from getting out and checking out the oldest (still working) lighthouse in Maine.

Excited for tomorrow.

Hola Cozumel - Jeeps -Tequila & Snorkeling

we docked up around 10am and hit the streets. We meet up with our Jeep guide, Omar, and set off to circle the entire island.

We made our first so at Regalo do Dios tequila distillery and learned about the old school ways of making tequila. This was the BEST tequila we've ever tried. I had no idea that this is what it is supposed to taste like. A stood gave change for my future and tequila drinking

we ventured down the rocky coast to a small outlook and chatted with some tried side vendors selling coconuts, beer, and the local let us try pineapple with Mexican soccer seasoning... Awesome!

Grand Cayman - Stingrays and Watch Heaven

we unloaded and set off for Stingray City which is a massive sand bar about 30 minutes of the coast. We could also see in the distance about a half mile where the sea floor drops to 25,000 feet. Instant teal to dark purple waters. Awesome.

i will upload more from our water camera when we return.

we were able to hold and get "lucky kisses" from some stingrays. This is by far the neatest experience yet on the trip.

and then we meet some friends and ventured over to the Ritz for some afternoon drinks on the beach

we made quick time and hopped to a couple watch stores

Adventurous in Jamaica (Yeah Man)

we had an awesome hour drive to Ocho Rios with a full breakdown of the history of Jamacia and about their industry and development.
